Welcome to JustGetFit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the JustGetFit website at justgetfit.org, our email newsletter, our mobile and web applications (including any apps available at subdomains such as app.justgetfit.org), and any other products, features, content, or services we make available (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

1. The Services

JustGetFit currently offers:

• Blog and articles at justgetfit.org — fitness, nutrition, and wellness content available to read for free.
• Email newsletter — periodic emails about fitness content and related topics, delivered to subscribers who opt in.
• Apps and tools (including planned offerings at app.justgetfit.org) that may provide personalized workout plans, meal suggestions, progress tracking, and similar fitness features.

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time. If we do something that materially affects your account or stored data (such as shutting down a feature you actively use), we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you in advance.

2. Accounts

Some Services (such as the upcoming app) require an account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account, to keep your login credentials confidential, and to notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

You may not create accounts using false information, impersonate other people, or share your account credentials with others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to break, hack, or otherwise compromise the security of the Services
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or extract content beyond reasonable use
• Submit spam, abusive, defamatory, or malicious content via any forms or features
• Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services
• Interfere with other users' ability to use the Services

4. Health and fitness disclaimer

JustGetFit publishes fitness, nutrition, and wellness content (including content generated by our apps and tools) for informational and educational purposes only. The content is not medical advice.

We are not doctors, dietitians, or licensed medical professionals. Workout plans, meal suggestions, and similar personalized output from our apps are general recommendations based on the information you provide — they are not personalized medical guidance. Before starting any new exercise program, diet, or supplement regimen, consult with a qualified healthcare provider, especially if you have any pre-existing condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication.

You take full responsibility for any actions you take based on content from the Services. Results vary from person to person; nothing on the Services guarantees specific outcomes. Stop any activity that causes pain, injury, or distress and consult a qualified professional.

5. AI-generated content

Some Services (such as the planned app) may use AI to generate workout plans, meal suggestions, or other personalized content. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or recommendations that aren't suitable for your situation. We do our best to validate output, but we cannot guarantee accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness for any specific purpose.

Use AI-generated content as a starting point, not a final authority. Apply common sense, listen to your body, and consult a qualified professional when in doubt.

6. Affiliate disclosure and advertising

Some links in the Services are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. This helps support the Services. We only recommend products we genuinely believe in; affiliate compensation does not influence our editorial choices.

Parts of the Services (currently the blog) display third-party advertisements via Google AdSense. We don't control which specific ads appear; that's determined by the ad network based on its own targeting.

7. Newsletter

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive periodic emails about fitness content, articles, and related topics. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. Unsubscribing immediately stops future emails; it may take up to 24 hours for already-queued emails to fully stop.

8. Your content

When you submit content to the Services (such as messages via the contact form, workout logs, profile information, or feedback), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and use that content as needed to operate the Services for you. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't publish your private content publicly without your explicit permission.

You agree not to submit content that's illegal, infringing, defamatory, harassing, or abusive. We reserve the right to remove any submission that violates these Terms.

9. Our intellectual property

All content provided through the Services — articles, images (where original or licensed), illustrations, logos, branding, software, and AI prompts and workflows — is owned by JustGetFit or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may:

• Read, browse, and view content for personal, non-commercial use
• Share article links with others
• Quote brief excerpts with proper attribution and a link back to the original
• Use the apps and tools as intended for your personal fitness goals

You may not:

• Republish full articles or AI-generated plans on your own site without permission
• Use our content commercially without a license
• Remove or alter copyright notices, attribution, or branding
• Train AI/ML models on our content without explicit written permission
• Reproduce, sell, or redistribute any part of the Services as your own

10. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that:

• Any specific result (fitness, health, weight, etc.) will be achieved
• External links will continue to work or remain accurate
• AI-generated content will be suitable for your specific situation

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JustGetFit and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services, including but not limited to physical injury, loss of profits, data, goodwill, or any other intangible losses — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

12. External links and third-party services

The Services contain links to third-party websites and integrate with third-party services (such as Resend for email delivery, Supabase for data storage, Google AdSense, and Google reCAPTCHA). We're not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any external service. Linking does not constitute an endorsement.

13. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter or in-app notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or terminate your access to the Services (including app accounts) for users who violate these Terms or whose use we reasonably believe poses a risk to the Services or other users. You may stop using the Services at any time, and you may request account deletion via the contact form.

Sections that should reasonably survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which JustGetFit is operated. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
